Out & About in the Valley

Fortitude Valley or The Valley, as it’s affectionately known, is a hive of activity and has staked itself as Brisbane’s foremost retail and lifestyle precinct.
The James St precinct features a curated mix of over 130 specialty stores, including an impressive range of design showrooms and fashion boutiques, award-winning restaurants and cafes, in addition to art galleries, design havens and grooming emporiums. Playing home to some of Australia’s favourite designers, the precinct attracts those seeking a design-forward retail experience in a leafy outdoor urban setting.
We’re thrilled to have our second showroom join this mix, and below are some of our favourite businesses in the area…
Botanica Real Food
Serving wonderfully fresh, healthy and delicious takeaway salads, Botanica Real Food’s philosophy stems from the notion that a healthy eating regime consisting of plant-based foods is not a flash in the pan diet, but instead a truly delicious way of life based on eating real food.
The boutique salad bar also serves up a selection of sweets treats for those who want to indulge in something a bit naughty, from cupcakes and bundt cakes to brownies and cookies.

Jocelyn’s Provisions have established a justifiable nationwide reputation for their speciality cakes, bread, pastries and provisions. Baked fresh using the finest ingredients and traditional recipes, their hand-made products proudly retain an old world charm.
We love the thick crust and distinct tang of their sourdough, made from organic grains and their delicious pastries. Yum!

Molten Store is for those who seek beauty in everyday encounters and delight in the sentimental, the bohemian and the obscure. We love that brand owner Jessy hand-selects goodies; be it an embellished clutch or an elaborate necklace, there’s not a single thing from Molten Store that Jessy wouldn’t own or wear herself.

Arc + Family
Handpainted designer pots made by husband and wife duo Ash and Ben Keil, Arc + Family is a space filled with light and colour.
Having taken over the old general store on the corner of Harcourt Street, the building boasts a fresh colour palette of blush pink and mint green, and houses a collection of handmade pots as well as plant stands, candles, terrariums and homewares.
